Heads Up RFK Parkers!

Posted on April 8, 2008 at 3:23 pm

Lots of DC sports excitement in the air this week! The Nationals take on the Marlins for game 2 in the series, and third home game at the new ballpark. The Caps begin the playoffs at the end of the week (Go Caps!!). The Wizards play Boston at home Wednesday and DC United hosts a match at RFK Wednesday, meaning Lot 8 will not be open for Nats fans wanting to take the Nats Express shuttle (in fact, I’ve heard the gate for access off I-395 will be closed). Have no fear, you can still park at RFK and take the Nats Express, but you’ll have to park in Lot 7 accessed off the Whitney Young Bridge (East Capitol Street) or Oklahoma Avenue. The Nats Express begins running 1.5 hours before the game. The same will be in effect for all United games that coincide with a Nationals home game. Here are the dates (www.nationals.com/waytogo):

  • Weds. April 9
  • Sat. April 26
  • Sat. May 24
  • Weds. June 4
  • Sun. June 22
  • Sun. June 29
  • Sat. August 2
  • Sat. August 30

I’m still trying to figure out the optimal way to tomorrow’s game as we do not have the golden tickets that include the season parking in our share of the game. I’m thinking Metro.

Remember when I was surprised to find the Nationals didn’t have a Spanish language website? Well, no more! They just announced the launch of losnacionales.com.
