05-08-10 Pups In The Park (I)

[ Photoset on Flickr ] The first of two “Pups In The Park” events was held Saturday in the 200 level of Nationals Park, attended by dogs of all sizes and shapes, even dogs with punk purple hairdos (MissChatter approved!). The second Pup event is already sold out like this one was, but dog owners who bought tickets to both events will get to go on a doggie parade at the August event. Kitty can’t wait!

My recommendation is to bring a little food/water bowl for your dog. I can’t find the exact brand we have, but it has a food bowl that zips onto the water bowl with a pull-string for closure. It’s similar to this (water bowl only though).

Another successful event and I heard there were more dog tickets sold this time than the inaugural event last season. I did spot some return dogs and humans and they looked as adorable as last time! Now I’m off to convince Mr. Chatter we just have to adopt the husky “Happy” that I fell in love with…

This was an unusual and unique way to photograph a day at the ballpark, so needless to say, I couldn’t pay complete attention to the game. I was thrilled with the Nats unconventional win, with the ultimate winning run scored when Adam Dunn was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
