BobbyBoswell.com Launch Party
March 21, 2007

MissChatter and DC Sports Chick pose with Bobby Boswell and drinks in hand during the "ladies drink free" portion of the launch party for the DC United defender’s BobbyBoswell.com website. He says he’ll get me the hookup on where he got his cool microphone badge from – I totally need one for “That’s Chat’s Nats”!
What a party! Can I say how totally cool it is that a local athlete threw a party in a private-ish club and invited anyone and everyone? AND us ladies drank free after 10 PM. I saw the Washington Post Live! crew so expect to see some bits on the show tonight, I think (and probably a little of DCSC?). In fact, it was just us bloggers at first, which led to a few nervous moments wondering if the party would be a bust (not to fear, it certainly wasn’t). Since I didn’t plan on interviewing anyone over the loud dance music, I got a little video inside while the party was hot. I still need to edit, but have no fear FOSE girl from the party – it’ll still end up here ;-) Heh.
So, like, did you know the metro shuts down after midnight? Can I say what fun it is to go to switch lines to catch a train home and be told “no more trains” all soup nazi fashion?! (No Trains For You!) So while Mr. C and I were on the hunt for a taxi to take the rest of the way home, I stepped off a curb in the dark without realizing the curb was approaching and blew out my knee as it buckled under me. My good knee! Good thing I’m not an athlete that relies on it for my salary, although it is a bummer (and painful!). I’m such a dork. And here I was actually thinking about starting running again…

Well done, again. Too bad about the knee. Running is overrated anyway though. Biking is much easier on the knees :)

Sorry to hear about your knee.

Yeah, Metro schedule stinks. In the summer it’s 1am on weeknights, thank god, or I’d never get home from Nats games. Runs later on weekends – at least they got that part right.
Knee problems stink. I had one good knee, too, until I fell down the steps in front of my house this winter for no reason other than I was soooo tired that morning. Now instead of one hurting when rain is coming, they both do!
