Baseball On The Barn and Tailgate

SIX DAYS!! Yes, the season begins in six short days. Don’t forget the massive Natosphere tailgate party in Lot 8 by the tree at 11 AM opening day (last one at RFK). What tree? If you follow the left side of the parking lot coming in off 395, the parking lot does a little jog after an entrance to a fenced parking lot to the left. In that corner is a nice bushy shade tree (will it have leaves? I do not know). Anyway, we’ll be parked along the grass there where the walkway to the tunnel that leads to the stadium is. Look for the red Jeep (and I hear it’s going to have another Jeep side-by-side with it). Cool! I’ll bring champagne and OJ (mimosas before noon, ya know!), but we ran out last year, so you may want to bring reinforcements.
I know you’ve all been waiting breathlessly, so the Barn Baseball schedule for this season is complete. There will be four occasions to come cheer on (or participate in the MysteryBaseball3000 snarkfest, as the case may be) the Nationals while they’re on the road in the company of other obsessive great Nats fans.

I was going to try and sneak away for a tiny bit and hit the tailgate. But since I’ll more likely be wrangling singers and setting up for the opening pitch I wouldn’t hold your breath. I also wanted to see if I could get a Presidential appearance for a few minutes to happen but I don’t think that is going to work out.

Aw that’s too bad because that would be so totally awesome! I will hold out hope, but I won’t hold my breath (we’ll be really close to the stadium if you can sneak away… just go through the tunnel and head down the grass!)
