Seriously! Ok, maybe attacked is a little strong (so far), it’s just visiting. My setup is out on my porch and we’ve been leaving the porch door open because of a sick cat who started refusing to come into the house and put the cat food out there. The food kept disappearing quickly, so we blamed the neighbor’s dog and moved it up onto a table. It still seemed to disappear and the lid on the top of the self feeder kept being found popped off. I couldn’t imagine my cats were doing that, but couldn’t think of another explanation. So as I was sitting out here on the porch offloading my photos from tonight’s very cool broadcast adventure, I kept hearing a lot of chewing and crunching. Last time, it was a cat eating a chipmunk up here on the porch (quite gross). So I ignored it for a while, not realizing there was a big fat raccoon 20 feet to my left sharing my “office space”. I finally looked up and the mystery of the disappearing cat food and lid became apparent. That little booger was not intimidated by me in the least either. So I shot a bunch of photos of him, waited for him to leave and closed the porch door. Now he’s running back and forth chattering and yelling at me. Yikes!
More on the broadcast booth adventures tomorrow. I have to filter through my notes, video, audio and photos and create my best post/vodcast yet. I think the event deserves a little extra effort on my part, or at least some drafts and editorial review. Meanwhile, I’m going to try to tune out the critter in the background that has me a little freaked out!
To whet your whistle, I also took a trip to the new stadium today and thanks to the advice of another (hi!), walked down into the field area to get up close photos. Check them out! [Photoset]

Be CAREFUL. Read about what a raccoon did to my friends’ cat:
