Nothing to see here…
November 14, 2007
If you’re coming here looking for photos from today’s ballpark thingamajig dedicating the sweet new Kentucky bluegrass, I’m sorry to disappoint. My book deadline was first thing this morning and by the time I had to leave to make the stadium on time, I was still wearing yesterday’s clothes, couldn’t stand myself, and hadn’t slept a wink all night (first time I’ve done that without any alcohol involved!). So I laid on my couch and passed out while my zipfile full of images uploaded to the publisher.
I thought I’d finally return to normal humanity, or at least get a brief reprieve before the editorial process began, but I had an email within two hours asking me to cut down the word count and return the manuscript ASAP. So nobody’s getting a dedication or acknowledgement! Heh. (just kidding)
I’m still kicking myself for not pushing my limits and going, but living these three lives and waking up at 4 AM to work on the book for a month and then staying up til midnight after work to continue finally took its toll. Ah well, there will be another dedication, right?
Sigh.

You can’t be expected to do everything, that’s why you should look into cloning ;-)
