Woo Hoo! (Song 2)
March 12, 2008
The Nationals are letting fans vote on the songs to play over the PA after certain events and innings. Voting begins tomorrow at 9 AM. My one hope is that Song 2 wins for after a home run if only because it brings back incredibly fond memories of Marlins pitcher Scott Olsen, a chewed piece of gum, and a prolonged creepy stare. Heh. Oh, I’m also partial to YMCA for the 7th inning stretch — just cuz I love waving my hands in the air like a dork. Seriously. I love that song! It encourages fan participation!
Harper over at Oleanders and Morning Glories has a nice rundown of some of the options with convenient links ot the songs on YouTube. So I’m not going to rehash it here.

In other news, is it Friday yet?! I hear Austin Kearns may be shaving lightning bolts into Nick Johnson’s hair. Man, that would be awesome to videotape for That’s Chat’s Nats!! But I’m not holding my breath. The odds of me getting invited to that little soir√ɬ©e are pretty much null!
Mike O’Connor is back! He started today’s winning game against the Dodgers and it looks like after a shaky start, did pretty well. Good to see. Rauch and Cordero appear to have had great outings too. Two more days! Two more days! Time to whip out that notebook and shake the rust off my scoring skills.

How can they not include Chocolate City by P-Funk?
