Minor Rehabbing
April 7, 2008
Tomorrow is the home-opener for the Potomac Nationals and guess who’s the starting pitcher? Why, our very own Shawn Hill! Since it’s an off day for the big Nationals, the date seems perfect for going and checking him out and enjoying a minor league game. Second round draft-pick Jordan Zimmermann is slated to also take the mound tomorrow night. Should make for an intriguing night of baseball on the farm. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM in Woodbridge, Virginia. Hill is still hoping to return to the Nationals and start April 13th.
Chad Cordero, also on the 15 day disabled list, will make a minor league rehab appearance, probably Wednesday with the P-Nats as well.
Don’t forget tonight’s game against the Marlins is in HD (for, you know, those of us not actually going to the game)! Woo! A general “we have four tickets to give away” email just went out at work. If I had my camera with me, I totally would have jumped on it. Ah well. Naturally, they were snapped up within five minutes. Plus, I have to go see if the shipment of my books has arrived yet. It is publication day, after all!
