The Dodgers Rawk!
April 15, 2008
I’m pretty sure I got the ladies night with the Nats idea from the Dodgers’ website a couple years ago and forwarded it on to the Nationals. Not that I’m taking credit for Ladies Night, mind you! They very well may have come up with the idea on their own and just happened to implement it after my email :-) Huh - look, the Dodgers had a baseball clinic for women as well! As longs as the Nats are modeling their community interactions after the Dodgers, check this out! They held a bloggers night complete with a suite and guests! And by ‘guests’, we’re not talking people low on the totem pole: General Manager Ned Colletti, Owner Frank McCourt, Tommy Lasorda, and Alyssa Milano! Wow!
So umm…. when do we get our invitation to try out one of the available sweet suites? Hint hint!! I bet my lens will have a clear view of the field without the stream of people up and down while sampling one of those cushy padded seats with room for my bag and scorebook!

I’ve been to Dodger Stadium many times. Suites are nice, plus you get to munch off as many grapes, cheese and crackers you want — pending you booked a suite for a night game with 15 non-existing pals!! The article regarding the Dodgers’ having a ‘Ladies Night’ reminds me of seeing something like that on the Pirates website too. Yes, they too also have a Ladies Night event going on this season. So here’s how the top 5 teams I recall have the “best” ladies night: 5. Red Sox 4. Astros 3. Pirates 2. Dodgers 1. Nationals (Hey, I have to give miss chatter credit here for the idea plus the Montreal Expos couldn’t even hold a Ladies’ night event anyways.) OR HAVE THEY???!!!
