Rob Mackowiak sent to AAA
May 9, 2008
… to work on his laugh (bud-um bum!) [This snark gem brought to you by the genius of Mr. Chatter - told ya I can't come up with stuff like that on my own] I kid because I love! Apparently Rob Mack is a homie, also growing up in the Chicago area. During his sideline interviews, I noticed absolutely no accent — unusual while listening to MLB players, but that laugh!! Did you hear it?! Oak Lawn, as far as I know, is far closer to the city than my country-bumpkin-bordering roots of Crystal Lake, IL, yet you’d think we were reversed judging by that hee-haw! Ok, maybe it will take a few more “starts” of seeing that laugh in person to make a determination. Might have been a bad call. A one-off event. After the guy’s heroics last night (hey, I stopped asking why he’s on the team!), he deserves a break for a day.
(p.s. believe me, I’ve been teased for my laugh my entire life, so I’m really not picking on him here. Maybe it is a Chicago thing!)

The Nationals have a very, very good farm system. Robby should enjoy life in AAA for real!! Hope he makes it back to the bigs!!

Ha! This post was totally a joke – he wasn’t really sent to AAA. Although, now he’s been just released outright.
