Honor Federal Employees

Date May 13, 2008

Partnership for Public Service LogoI used to work in Federal government, and I enjoyed the time spent with a great bunch of people. The Nationals are teaming up with the Partnership for Public Service to honor federal employees the May 24th game against the Brewers. If you’d like to go, you can get $5 off tickets if you purchase them through ourpublicservice.org and the link on their home page. You do not have to be a federal employee to get the discount. The Partnership for Public Service is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization (and I’m all about those, as you know!) that works to revitalize the federal government by inspiring a new generation to serve and by transforming the way government works. Sounds like a good cause, no?

  • RF Mezzanine – $33 (normally $38)
  • Scoreboard Pavilion – $24 (normally $29)
  • Upper Infield Gallery – $15 (normally $20)

Unfortunately, I can’t set a good example and take advantage of the opportunity as I will be coordinating my own non-profit efforts with a volunteer day (aka painting party!) out at the lighthouse. Enjoy!

March 24th? The Nats and the PPS are joining forces to travel back in time and overcharge for a preseason game? Maybe there is something to this whole “government service” racket. Cause let’s face it people, lighthouses ain’t cheap.
