Burying Head in Hands
June 24, 2008
I went to find my cats just as the game was starting to put them in the house so they don’t get caught in the raccoon trap (the buggers have been coming *into* the house through the doggie door - still!). I came back and watched the game go from 2-0 to 6-0 in the top of the remainder of the 1st inning. An inning that sent every Angel to the plate, right down to the pitcher. Paul Lo Duca had a throwing error while I was chasing cats (but I am intrigued watching him run around in left field) and Dmitri Young had a fielding error. Oh Nick Johnson, how we miss you so!
C’mon Nats - do something to come back here!
Update: So much for the entertainment value of watching Lo Duca in left field. It’s the top of the 2nd and he was just escorted slowly off the field by the trainer for some mysterious reason but no apparent injury. If his stomach is upset, I’m just glad the cameras didn’t show him get sick on tv or something. Disaster averted.
So much for benching Wily Mo for lack of production too (if that was in fact the case). He took Lo Duca’s place in LF.
Lo Duca was taken to Sibley Hospital for “precautionary reasons”.
