Not as curmudgeonly as Buzz Bissinger

Washington Times columnist Thom Loverro has turned to the dark side and now has his own blog called Lovey Land. (ok, even my eyebrows went up when I saw that!). He explains how the name came about in his first post, which includes a great interview with the writer of HBO’s The Wire.

His next post is on someone I’m already sick of reading about, which is saying something since I really only follow the Nationals as far as sports go. I do follow enough other baseball news to know A-Rod did or didn’t have an affair with Madonna (isn’t she still married?) and his future-ex was hanging with Lenny Kravitz or something and filed for divorce the day after the tabloids broke the Madonna thing which may or may not be true. What happened to baseball? Who cares who did who? ;-)

And then there’s something about some other sport called football today.

Good start – 3 posts in a week and no tirades on the dumbing down of America yet! Hopefully he keeps it up.
