[Photoset] Oops, that phrase is supposed to be “touch ‘em all!” isn’t it? Well, DBacks starting pitcher Micah Owings must have missed the memo as he hit three Nationals last night (Belliard, Lo Duca, and Kearns) and nearly hit Lo Doca a second time! Jesus Flores, on the other hand, understood the meaning and put the Nats well ahead 5-0 with a pinch hit three run home run in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Nats scored their first run in the 2nd when Kory Casto drew a bases loaded walk. Casto also gave the Nats the 2nd RBI when he hit a double to right field. At one point he made an outstanding catch in left against the left field side wall (missed on camera) and earned the player of the game designation by the PA announcer.
Wait, do that again, I wasn’t ready!! Belliard flashed his slick defensive skills after moving from third base to first to replace Dmitri Young in the top of the 8th when hard hit grounder that could have rolled to right was stopped cold by his glove. He even had enough time to run to the base for the out himself. I didn’t have my camera in position and totally missed the play! Darn!
The skies threatened, but the Diamondbacks didn’t as the Nationals shut them out 5-0 and John Lannann finally earned a win.
I was up working til 4 AM, so I’m not adding the photo links into the post this morning.

Oh sure, it figures. For once I decide to step out of our cozy group of 9000 and go to a movie instead of watching the game on TV. And they win. Thanks, boys. Maybe I need to stop watching all games? Nah.
I was afraid we’d add another casualty to the DL — all we’d have needed would have been a hand or wrist to be hit.
