Dancing in the Booth

Date September 25, 2008

So as I was driving back to Nationals Park from southern Maryland Saturday listening to the game on 1500 AM, Dave and Charlie were chatting about Wil Nieves batting music and how they can’t help but get up and dance to it. They said someone was going to YouTube them dancing in the booth. I thought that sounded like an invitation, but didn’t have a good vantage point since then. Someone (’diehardnatsfan’) beat me to it!

The forecast for this evening has been looking pretty ominous. 100% chance of rain and 15-20 mph winds with gusts up to the 40s. Yikes! Considering how long the rain is predicted to fall, they can’t even delay the game unless things change. Would MLB cancel the last home game of the season for the Nationals? Neither team is in contention. But what about fan appreciation night? Oktoberfest under the red rooftop party tent? Fireworks after the game? Our PNC Diamond Club seats after investing in six weekend games? Hopefully 50% off everything in the team store (last night just jerseys, t-shirts, and inaugural season items were 50% off).

Cheryl took this the other night while we were walking around trying to decide where we want to buy our tickets for next year. she showed Charlie after the game and he couldn’t stop laughing at it. this season has almost been as tough on the broadcasters as it has the team and fans!

    pray the rain passes,
    Best,

Love the video. Anyone know how to find out what music is played for the players? Most especially the Nieves tune that make Dave and Charlie dance!

I don’t know what his music is. I asked the radio broadcaster and he doesn’t know either. Maybe someone does? This article is the only thing I’ve seen on the batting music, but it doesn’t have Nieves in it.
