A Salute to Our Nation’s Veterans

Today is Veteran’s Day and many thanks to all who have served these United States of America. Thank God to these men and women and especially those that have died while protecting this country.
In my family, my father is a Veteran from the Korean War and actually worked tirelessly for the Veteran’s Administration at the HQ on Vermont Avenue until his retirement.
One of the highlights at each National’s home game is the salute to the invited Vets that are seated in the prestigious President’s Club section. It is a touch of class that the Nationals have made this a tradition at every home game.
Now they have designed the Blue Stars & Stripes special jerseys for special games such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, etc. http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-5427995dt.jpg
For all that is wrong with this team, they certainly have done many things that are right and honoring our Vets is always a winner!
[Editorial Note: MissChatter would also like to thank all the men and women who served in the Lighthouse Service, Navy, and Coast Guard to keep our waters safe and lighthouses shining!]
