Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a great one and is readjusting well to real life all over again! (Can I get a groan groan?!)

I’ve been living in the house of illin’ over the winter break, so not exactly party town! It doesn’t seem fair, really. No big Nats news broke, although I suppose they deserved some time off as well. So to distract myself, I did a few test runs in the new basement studio and hope to have a video out soon. It won’t be the usual with player clips or stupid questions since I haven’t seen anyone since the season ended yet. I’m really just trying to fine tune the lighting setup and editing process. I toyed with the idea of setting my off-season hopes and woes to a song (like ELO’s Rockaria?) and rocking out, but… well, it won’t be that extreme. I like to embarrass myself (ok, I don’t really set out to do that intentionally, it just works out that way!), but even I’m not that crazy. Yet – I’ve filed the idea away for possible future use.

Oh, hey, Milton Bradley signed with the Cubs, so he’s out of the mix! Maybe the Nats will go after Andruw Jones next (I hear he’s so out of shape no one wants him. Sounds perfect!).

Now back to checking out the newly launched MLB Network channel (86 on Verizon FiOS). So far, I honestly haven’t watched it enough to give a full evaluation. I was most tickled that the airing of Don Larsen’s perfect game (twice so far that I’ve noticed) included the original commercials. Makes you want to run out and get a Gillette! What are your thoughts so far?
