Man, if the team hadn’t just resigned Livan! (I can’t remember how to do the upside down exclamation point on my Mac), I wouldn’t know what player to really look forward to watching. Well, maybe Wil Nieves (you know me and catchers). Nyjer Morgan broke his left hand sliding stealing third base in the first inning today and is out the rest of the season. Serious bummer! The team finally had a mostly consistent center fielder and bam, done. Now, would Tony Plush slide headfirst? Or was this Nyjer Morgan? I’m so confused. I’ve heard so many times that sliding head first is bad.

Yep, serious bummer. He is one of the most exciting “small ball” players in baseball.
BTW, awesome photo of Mr. Plush walking back to the dugout!

Definitely a downer. He was a bright spot in a season that hasn’t had a whole lot of them.
(I’m also looking forward to watching Livo. Also, I get to break out my 61 jersey pin. Yay!)
