Jerseys off their backs raffle

Posted on September 17, 2010 at 7:32 am

Yay! It's the promotion I wait all season for, even if it signifies the sad finale of the season. It's time for the "Jerseys off their backs" promotion! $5 for a raffle ticket enters you for a chance to win one of 30 players' jerseys right off his back after the final home game against the Braves next Sunday 9/26. Raffle ticket sales will begin Monday at the Nats vs. Astros game at Nats Park. Raffle tickets can be purchased ... Continue Reading

NatsTown Appreciation

Posted on September 17, 2010 at 7:25 am

As I sat grumbling and fuming that it had taken me an hour to reach the Roosevelt Bridge Wednesday evening on my commute home from DC only to be greeted by yet another mysterious traffic backup, a funny thing happened. I called home to say I'd be late for dinner (no worries, traffic wasn't moving) and then began looking around to see where a robotic voice was coming from. Opera In The Park

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 4:03 pm

The Nationals hosted opera simulcasts previously, and unfortunately we were unable to attend. The good news is they are doing it again this year on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 19th)! The event is free. Gates open at noon and the simulcast will begin at 2:00 PM. Full ... Continue Reading

Sunday afternoon, Nationals Park went to the dogs, but that wasn't a bad thing. Don't look now, but the Nats have quite the little win streak going since being swept by the Cubs with a new-look lineup that features Adam Kennedy leading off and Zimmerman and Dunn in the 4th and 5th spots. For those whose pets watch on tv with them at home, do you think the pups noticed the lineup change? Maybe some do. Or maybe they just ... Continue Reading

08-29-10 Pups In The Park

The day went to the dogs, but that wasn't a bad thing. Dogs of all sizes and personalities took to the left field mezzanine for the 2nd time this season and woofed in a win. Seriously, when the crowd went wild cheering, the pups joined in barking. Awesome. I'll have more tomorrow on CSN, but here's the photo gallery for now.
