Bacsik draws the short straw

Posted on August 8, 2007 at 12:00 am

History has been made. Barry Bonds just hit his 756th home run off Mike Bacsik in the bottom of the 5th with one out - a shot to right field on a full count. I really thought the Nats might escape giving this up. The game is now paused and I'm not sure I can stay awake til the end, although it's been a really exciting game to this point with a volley of home runs and tied 4-4 til ... Continue Reading

Back To School

Posted on August 3, 2007 at 4:03 pm

Wow, is it really almost time for school to start again? (YIPPEE! I can finally ride my bike to work after the bus comes rather than driving Little C to summer camp and lose these extra pounds I've gained). On the down side, it means the summer baseball season is winding down to a close. Anyway, who says the Nationals don't do anything for DC Schools? No More Lucky Charms

Posted on July 3, 2007 at 10:32 am

Jim Bowden's sleepover snoring tactics and eating all the marshmallows out of the Lucky Charms must have worked. 49th draft pick, Michael Burgess has signed. Well, have no fear, you have another chance to see it! Set that DVR now if you plan on being out of the house Sunday (like I do). There will be a Washington Nationals Ticket Sell-a-Thon (is that like the PBS phone-a-thons?) on WUSA 9 Sunday from 11:30 AM to Noon. The show will be hosted by Washington Post Radio's Byron Kerr (Geico Nationals Insider), new TV broadcaster Hall of Famer Don Sutton (is it required to *always* put the ... Continue Reading

Local talent for MASN broadcasts!

Posted on January 20, 2007 at 4:56 pm

Introducing MissChatter (or moi!) as the new local talent for MASN produced pre and post-game Nationals shows. Also anchoring a new weekly (ignore the "Daily Show" bit) news show all Nationals all the time. Ok, seriously I'm just kidding, but for giggles, I created this bit of embarrassment to see how I'd do as a sports show host. Bahaha! Be gentle, please! Also, remember I'm not a video producer by trade, so the lighting and cutting are a little rough ... Continue Reading
