If the Nats beat the Phillies and nobody is there to see it

Posted on April 13, 2011 at 12:10 pm

Did it really happen? YES! [After reading this, check out the series preview Q&A I did with Enrico from The 700 Level] I totally did not want to go to the game last night and was silently praying for a rainout and the game to be called before hauling myself downtown. See, two days after my near-death experience in the Jeep, I wiped out on the scooter Monday night (again, thanks to a car cutting me off). With two severely bruised ... Continue Reading

Injury bug

Well, poop - I guess I at least caught Ryan Zimmerman's last game before he went on the 15 day disabled list. Posted on April 9, 2011 at 12:07 pm

Never turn down an offered Nats ticket, right? Even if the particular game is a 5 hour road trip north? Ok, sure, why not?! I can be spontaneous! All electronics are charged, so I'm packing my camera and iPod and hitting the road for a solo round trip with a game in the middle. First order of business was remembering my login and updating my EZ-Pass info. I'm eager to see Tom Gorzelanny on the mound for the first ... Continue Reading

I didn’t get Rob Dibble fired

Posted on April 7, 2011 at 11:12 am

Not that I ever really thought I did. I mean, seriously? A blogger getting a big nasty former-pitcher-turned-broadcaster fired over his own inane remarks?! Ridiculoso! So those of you who were angry with me can redirect your midguided vitriol at Strasburg's dad. Or put it where it belongs, like the shoe store that ended up in Dibble's mouth. Continue Reading
