That’s Chat’s Nats : 01-28-08 Winter Tour Roundup

Posted on January 28, 2008 at 4:15 pm

Here's a video to recap three of the stops along the Washington Nationals 2008 Winter Tour; Children's National Medical Center featuring Manager Manny Acta and pitchers Jason Bergmann and John Lannan; Gifford's Ice Cream Co. featuring pitchers Mike Bacsik and Tim Redding; and the Auto Show yesterday featuring Tim Redding -- well, actually featuring Screech and the newly unveiled Screech Cam. The Nationals wrapped up the tour with a visit to Barcroft Elementary in Arlington today. I brought Little Chatter ... Continue Reading

Okay, the sound quality stinks. There was a lot of background noise and even though I ran every clip through a graphic equalizer, it still stinks. Plus, my microphone only apparently works through one channel. Still, here's the first tour stop. Please note that Aaron Boone mentions Freddy Garcia, just like I did over at the Nats of the Round Table. Continue Reading

I present you a trip to the new ballpark by boat (or investigating other tailgating options) :-) There's a [Photoset] that accompanies it. The weather today was awesome and my friend and I had a great time cruising around this afternoon. After filming, we headed south of the airport to Indigo Landing only to find it closed for the winter. Bummer! We had grilled cheese and warm flat ... Continue Reading

Try saying "Bench coach Pat Corrales" three times fast, I dare ya! In my quest to demystify the world of major league baseball, this event went a long way to furthering the cause. I can't come up with a more intelligent phrase to describe it than 'totally awesome'! Kudos to the community relations folks with the Nationals, the coaches, the grounds crew, the Glory softball players (and the other one from MD who plays somewhere else whose name I can't ... That’s Chat’s Nats : 09-02-07

This is my foray into the radio and television broadcast booths at RFK during last night's Nationals win 4-1 over the San Francisco Giants (with Barry Bonds in the lineup). Awesome stuff, I'm tellin' ya! I have so much more than what's contained in this "free YouTube 10 minute limit" video, but I squeezed a half hour of good tape into 10 minutes. I may have to make a second video of outtakes alone. The ... Continue Reading
