Super cool! The van now has full off-grid lithium batteries (400 ah) paired with a 3000w Victron inverter and a spanking new more efficient thermostat controlled quieter air conditioner that also runs off the batteries. The app with the new system also shows how much is charging from shore/solar, how much it’s consuming and under load will show me amount of time to empty. I also had a generator auto-start installed so if traveling, the generator will kick in to charge the batteries if they get below a certain point (but they also recharge while driving). I’m ready to roll!! (but no, I currently have nothing planned until July, but getting serious wanderlust, so will likely take a vacation soon). The first two pics are the van of the guy who installed the system – amazing setup. He’s well known Scott G. in the TOWB group. I was lucky enough to schedule the install at my house while they were traveling.
