We arrived in Moab and found a BLM campground with hardly anyone in it – Horsethief Campground. It was the first time I experienced having to pay for a BLM site, but the campground was super nice with numbered sites and flat parking pads. We arrived after dark, so waited to hit up the self-pay kiosk for morning when we could find it.
I managed to reserve a 10am timed entry slot to Arches National Park. We parked and hiked several times, leaving Riley in the van with the AC on, since dogs aren’t allowed on most trails (but we brought her with us where they were allowed).
After Zion and Bryce Canyon, I have to admit, Arches was nice, but not as mind blowing.
Afterwards, we had lunch downtown at the food truck court. That was pretty cool! We also saw a lot of vans.
