By this point, I was getting accustomed to the various ways of finding spots to stay overnight. Online reservations, phone calls and first come first serve. I found a campground on Lake Marion in South Carolina that looked fantastic and a quick phone call confirmed they had space available, so I headed there.
Boy did I luck out! They let me park right along the water. I was really wishing I had a paddleboard with me, but I hadn’t yet figured out a way to transport one. It was too long for the carrier in the back. The foil board I had with me was meant for wing foiling or surfing waves, not a flat lake.
When I tried to turn on the hot water heater on the Truma using the “gas” (propane) setting, I got an error code. Hmmm… Luckily, it’s dual power-sourced (gas or electric or both), so it worked on electric.
