Initially, I was worried the claw would arrive before I was ready and had everything on the curb. As time went on, looking at the debris-littered neighborhood started wearing and getting depressing. The neighbors and I had taken to looking at the county GIS map to see if judging by tons collected around us, the claw was getting any closer. So it was with great excitement I welcomed the sight of it. However, it did the block next to us and didn’t pick our stuff up quite yet. Which was ok, because in fact, I wasn’t done yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had noticed I wasn’t getting exercise credit on my watch for hauling branches and debris to the curb, so I started turning on the “outdoor walk” setting. I was walking approximately 3 miles a morning, making worn paths from my piles around the yard to the driveway and out to the street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I did my “morning job” before noon, scoring my exercise points, then I showered and did my “afternoon job” (my actual work job). This was a lather, rinse repeat pattern for months after the hurricane as I raced to get things back to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
