Riley loves to lie on picnic tables – it’s kind of her thing. After walking her in our campsite in the redwoods, we continued up the Oregon coast, occasionally stopping to take in the view (and selfies, of course).
KT found us a lunch stop, which surprised me by being a food truck (trailer) in an RV park/marina parking lot. While waiting for our food, we wandered around and took in the view. It was a small park – only about 20 spaces for camping, but it was adorable. It had a general store/bait shop, small dock and was situated on a scenic river leading to the Pacific.
I looked it up online and discovered it was for sale. Hmmm…. could we change careers and just run an RV park?? Nah. But I will admit, I kept that tab open for a really long time while I contemplated the dream.
As we continued, I looked for campgrounds on harbors or bays along the route and finally settled on the marina in Newport, Oregon. The sites themselves were more like camping in a parking lot, but the location was pretty cool with a phenomenal sunset view.
