Made it to Philly! Got to see A’s apartment and clear out my van. I didn’t even want to attempt parking the van on the street in Philly, so I went to Walmart and had A meet me there, where we transferred her belongings from my van to hers.
I briefly considered staying in the parking lot of Walmart overnight, as I had heard that’s a thing you can do (WallyDocking). However, when I looked around and took Riley out to pee, I noticed syringes and stuff on the ground and quickly went “nope!” I found an RV park spot for the night across the river in NJ.
The next day we went shopping and then toured old Philly with our other daughter, C (also lives in Philly). The three of us had a very nice lunch once we found something that was open.
Meanwhile, I got in touch with my former colleagues from the DC area to see if they’d be interested in getting together since I was going to be heading through there on my way to Florida.
