Nicole dumped a lot of rain. Judging by the yard, I picked the right spot for the van, however, just walking to it meant walking through water. I ended up overturning a paddle board and using it as a bridge.

And now, for an entertaining #vanlife story… A few mornings ago, just before 6am, I was dreaming that KT and I were going to a special zoo event and had just walked in with our paper tickets. Then KT threw a wad of cold wet tickets on my shoulder. Ok, weird. Then the wad of cold wet paper tickets jumped off my shoulder of their own accord. I have never woken up so fast from a dream in my life as I realized a frog must have just jumped off my shoulder. I jumped out of bed as I heard it crawl up the paper shade next to my bed. Not willing to deal with it in the dark and trying not to wake KT up, I just made a cup of coffee and went outside. I told him about the frog when he asked why I got up so early – and then ripped my bed apart and searched the van, but couldn’t find it. I just *knew* it was going to visit me in my sleep again the following night.

Sure enough, around 5am the next morning, I was jolted awake by something cold walking across my face. This time, I was not going to let it get away! I snapped on the light and jumped up. Couldn’t find it. KT said he thought I was making it up 😀 But as we tried to go back to sleep, we kept hearing things in the kitchen make noise like something jumping on them. Looked, couldn’t find it. Went back to bed again. But then I saw it on the top corner of the TV. “I see it! It’s on the TV!” KT got up to find it and I grabbed my phone, hoping to get photo proof. He grabbed a cup and caught it up by the ceiling. No photo because if he removed his hand, it would have jumped out. Frog was tossed out of the van, and hopefully that’s the end of the frog crossing saga.
