We took a little getaway to the Keys. Gorgeous! On the way, we made a reservation (free) at a South Florida Water Management District campground near Lake Okeechobee.
Then we continued on to Geiger Key Marina, RV Resort & Fish Camp on the key just before Key West. It was amazing. We backed right up to the water with our own tiki hut.
Naval Station Key West was very close to us, so jets were taking off in formation and flying around quite often during the day. The kid in me was delighted.
We took a day trip into Key West to explore. Parking wasn’t an issue with the van, thankfully. Upon returning, I received a surprise delivery of bubbly from my project manager at work. Somehow he tracked down which RV resort we were in (I’m guessing based on me making a comment about the military jets flying overhead). Super sweet! That is what we’re “Cheers!”ing in the last photo with our plastic “camping” cups. ❤️
