I swear we got a picture of the van under the “Weed” sign in Weed, CA, but it didn’t pop up in my export. Oh well. We took in the last sights of Oregon, before heading into California and dropping KT off on the Northern California Coast, where I did that wardrobe swap and continued on. Maps took me to I-10 instead of the expected I-40, so I ended up spending 3 hours stuck in LA traffic, ultimately stopping at BLM land right outside Joshua Tree NP after dark. Comments on my camping app mentioned a lot of rigs having to get towed out due to soft sand, so I didn’t venture very far in to explore, hoping to stay on hard packed ground.
